Our Lineage.
The Colorado Springs Kashiwa Bujinkan Dojo is proud to have a tight and gifted lineage of teachers and students.
Shidoshi Jeffery Russell:
Shidoshi Jeffery Russell trained with Shihan Ishizuka. Ishizuka San is one of the original students under Gradmaster Masaaki Hatsumi. My instructor trained in Japan for over four years after receiving his shodan (black belt) in the States. Shidoshi Russell started his training in the Bujinkan system under Shidoshi Jeff Duncan of the Roanoke Valley Bujinkan www.rkebudo.com, until departing for Japan. He earned his Godan (5th degree black belt) from Soke (Grandmaster) Masaki Hatsumi. After sixteen years of experience, Shidoshi Russell continues to make frequent trips to Japan to train with Soke Hatsumi and Ishizuka, tirelessly improving his skills.
Sensei Bryan Garner:
The main instructor at Kashiwa Bujinkan Ninjutsu. He currently holds a Nidan rank in the Bujinkan system. He has been involved in martial arts since he was five years old, receiving two shodan ranks in other martial arts. He has trained in tradtional Karate and Kenpo systems as well as Aikido and Kendo. Sensei Garner became the soul pupil of Shidoshi Russell and has been honored to carry on his gifted teachings. He took over the instruction of the Air Force Academys Ninjutsu Club in 2004. He also taught martial arts at Highschool for over two years before opening his own dojo for the public. He has attented many semminars through out the United States and is planing to travel to Japan with his mentor to further his training. With over six years intensive study and dedication in the Bujinkan system he hopes to maintain a gifted school to honor the legacy of the Ninja.
