The Godai

Earth
From Earth we learn to focus our stability. We hold our ground and know perfectly where our boundaries are. While training in this element we learn how to become confident and strong enough to stop an attack as it moves against us. Attackers are stopped dead in their tracks as soon as they enter into our personal space.

Water
From Water we learn to develop our responsiveness. We train to be cleaver and cunning, pulling an attacker into our area of power and then smashing them like a tidal wave. Through proper distance and timing, we move fluidity and defensively, angling to return power strategically.

Fire.
The expansiveness of Fire teaches us to be aggressive. To raise our energy and be aware and alert to danger. You defeat an attack as soon as you sense it. Aggressively reaching out to control and direct the fight. The moment someone thinks of attacking, you have already defeated them.

Wind
The ever mobile and evasive fundamentals of Wind teaches us to be free-moving and skillful. To take advantage of an attackers momentum by positioning yourself to use their attack against them. Deftly slipping around the attack to trap and entangle the enemy.

Void
Void is the potential of all the elements in creative expression. Spontaneously applying all the various aspects of the first four elements.
